After graduating from high school, Annika Ley studied stage and costume design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Maastricht. Afterwards she worked for three years as a set assistant at the Bonn Theatre. During this time she designed her own productions, including “Club der Utopisten”, “Generation P” and “Das Treibhaus”. Annika Ley has been working freelance since summer 2009. For Theater Bonn she designed the stage for the production “Zwei Welten”, which was invited to the NRW Theatertreffen 2010.
For the fringe ensemble she has been designing the stage and costume pictures since 2009. With the series Raum01 (ff.) she developed productions together with Frank Heuel in which the space becomes a “play” partner.
In 2015 Annika Ley participated as a scholarship holder in the Watermill Foundation New York/Robert Wilson Masterclass Summer Academy.
