The next performances

X-CHANGE is played. After the successful completion of the project with a total of 6 performances in the theaterimballsaal and in the LVR-LandesMuseum Bonn, we are now planning a new project for and with the International SprechChor Bonn.

Thirty-two Bonn citizens from 13 nations currently form the ensemble of the International SprechChor Bonn, which the fringe ensemble already founded last year. The members are of different ages, have grown up here or are immigrants, from other cities, countries, continents. They have fled here or here for private or professional reasons.

The idea for this speech choir project was inspired, among other things, by the concept of the exhibition Europe on the Move at the LVR-LandesMuseum in Bonn. X-CHANGE reflects the early paths of political, cultural and economic exchange of European regions in the Middle Ages by means of the individual life journeys of the choir members to the Rhineland and, above all, by means of the confrontation with the place where they now find themselves here in the Rhineland, shaped by their different origins. In the context of the exhibition, a bridge can be built from the past to the present.

The premiere and two further performances will take place on 03. and 04 November will be held in the theaterimballsaal. For another performance – tailored to the exhibition and the space – we move into the middle of the exhibition at the LVR-LandesMuseum.

A project of the fringe ensemble/Bürgerchor GbR in cooperation with the LVR-LandesMuseum Bonn. Sponsored by: Landesbüro Freie Darstellende Künste NRW, Fonds Soziokultur, City of Bonn, Landschaftsverband Rheinland (LVR).
