The fringe ensemble breaks new ground in the Corona crisis. Frank Heuel and his team use experiences they have already made in other, experimental and partly digital theater productions. With a diverse program, they invite you to stay at home and still not miss out on theater!

We started last week with a home edition of “Ouoboros”.

With “The Devil”, a chapter from the novel “The Brothers Karamazov” by Fyodor Dostoyevsky goes online this weekend. Frank Heuel had staged the monologue for the stage in 2012. Now, in a streaming edition, live from Leipzig with actor David Fischer and actress Laila Nielsen, who remains off-camera here, will be available to watch online.

Likewise, there will be a reunion with Albert Camus “The Plague.” Andreas Meidinger will be live online at the Theater im Ballsaal in a reading staged specifically for the stream the week before Easter.

For a brand new project called “Outside the Doors,” fringe ensemble is working with the format of live writing, a very direct and intuitive form of reflection on what surrounds us right now. Lothar Kittstein, who developed the concept together with Frank, will be the author for this. “Outside the Doors” will go online after Easter.
