We are pleased to be among the selected artists and artist formations who will play a room of the Kunstmuseum for several days in June.

The performative installation 4 of 3 _ THE WORLD IS UPSIDE DOWN! invites visitors into a space that – like Wonderland from “Alice in Wonderland” – is full of the unknown, the nonsensical and the illogical. At certain unspecified times, performances are held in the room, in Wunderland. The space will remain open throughout beyond the live performance hours.

We invite visitors to take the plunge into the Rabbithole and stay in our wonderland for the duration of their visit. There they will experience acting nonsensical, contradictory and completely crazy. Texts are spoken backwards, music to thoroughly powerful sequences sounds bittersweet, and digital worlds created live in space turn relationships and perspectives upside down. When there is no performance, the Wunderland is still full of life. And every visit will leave its mark.

4 of 3 _ THE WORLD IS UPSIDE DOWN! is based on a longer study of Lewis Carroll’s story “Alice in Wonderland” as a text describing a world full of arbitrariness, full of contradictions, and without a logic we are familiar with.
