With the research “Outside the Doors” we react to the consequences of the current situation, where social distancing and travel restrictions prevent us from normal rehearsal work and make it necessary to completely reorient and review concepts that have already been developed. In view of the third production “Die Flaneure” (The Flaneurs), we are embarking on an experimental work phase in search of new forms of material development and presentation, since our actors* will not be able to travel to European metropolises and stroll around there in the near future. Now we use their respective place of residence: So Bettina Marugg, Laila Nielsen and Manuel Klein will go to their doors in Bonn, Leipzig, London and will be accompanied by the author Lothar Kittstein via the meeting platform zoom. We combine a live walk with a live cam with the process of live writing and invite audiences at selected points in our research to follow us online and engage with us in a chat or leave us their comments.
