Rooms tell stories. In the workshop friends – creating spaces together, 10 young people from the Karl Simrock School in Bonn from 6 countries go on a design journey together with the two stage designers Annika Ley and Eduardo Serú. The goal is for the young people to create something together in teams of two, even though they come from completely different countries and life situations, speak different languages and have different ideas.

In the workshop, the young people get the opportunity to find out whether they are interested in working with video, designing spaces, and working with crafts. They can discover and try out their own creativity. They have the chance to see, through the experience and knowledge gained, where their particular skills lie, what their preferences are.

As a conclusion of the project, the young people will present their results on 01 February 2017 in the theaterimballsaal. Excerpts will also be shown at the Karl Simrock School’s open day on February 04.

friends – creating spaces together is funded by the Ministry for Family, Youth, Culture and Sports of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the North Rhine-Westphalia State Office for the Liberal Performing Arts.
